(Miami, FL) - The tropics remain active, but not concerning for Florida, thanks to one little storm that could.
Part of the reason for the activity is the re-emergence of Tropical Storm Fay.
Fay first formed on Sep. 20 and nearly became the first hurricane of the season. Fay meandered around the Central Atlantic for two days then fizzled out.
Then, Fay got a second wind and regenerated into a depression the next day.
Last night, according to the National Hurricane Center, Fay strengthened back into a tropical storm with winds of 40 miles per hour and is drifting southwest but expected to weaken.
Fay joins TS Hanna which is also in the Central Atlantic with 45 mph winds heading away from the US.
