A four-year-old boy in Wisconsin tried to take legal action after his mom ate his ice cream.
According to the Villiage of Mount Pleasant Police Department, a four-year-old child called 911 last week to report his frustrations with his mother following the incident.
“Hello, this is Racine County 911. What’s the address of the emergency?” the dispatcher asked the boy, per 911 audio obtained by WCAX.
“My mommy is being bad," the four-year-old said.
The dispatcher asked the boy to explain the situation several times, to which he repeatedly responded, "Come and get my mommy."
An adult then took the phone from the boy and spoke to the dispatcher.
“Oh, this little one got the phone, and he’s 4,” a woman explained. “And so we’re trying to catch him because he said he was gonna call 911.”
“No – I called the police and I just told her to come and get my mommy … and I just told her to put her to jail. So leave me alone,” the boy said.
The boy's mom said, “I ate his ice cream, so that’s probably why he’s calling 911.”
The Village of Mount Pleasant Police Department released a statement explaining the incident on Facebook.
“On 3/4/25, Officer Gardinier and Officer Ostergaard were dispatched for a 911 hangup,” the police department wrote. “A little boy called 911 saying his mom was being bad and needed to go to jail.”
“When Officers arrived he said his mom ate his ice cream and needed to go to jail for it. He told them he no longer wanted her to go to jail and just wanted some ice cream," the statement continued.
Following the incident, the department said officers surprised the boy with ice cream, sharing a photo of their sweet meetup a day after his 911 call.
“Officers responded back today to surprise him with some ice cream after he decided he didn’t want mom in trouble anymore!” police said.
