A toddler who went viral on TikTok for saying hello to people at Target became an employee at the store for a day.

On Friday (April 26), one-year-old Azai, whose mom shares TikTok videos of him greeting Target shoppers, became an honorary team member at a store in Huntersville, per PEOPLE.

Target had reached out to the mother and son after seeing their viral videos on TikTok. During his special Target experience, Azai joined employees for their morning team huddle before greeting guests throughout the store.

The one-year-old toddler also checked the inventory of the toy department with the help of another Target team member.

The Huntersville store gifted Azai a $500 Target gift card shopping spree. The store also donated $10,000 in Azai's name to Charlotte's Classroom Central, an organization that doles out free school supplies to teachers.

Azai's mom, Mia Arianna, said her son has always been "super social."

"Azai started showing signs of being super social when he was about 6 months old. He would just crawl around saying hi to everyone," Arianna previously told PEOPLE. "He also would let anybody pick him up. He’s never been afraid of strangers."

Arianna said she never imagined that videos of Azai greeting customers in Target would go viral.

"I was actually never big on posting my son. I posted it just for fun and once it went viral, I decided to just keep it going from there," she said. "Seeing his videos go viral is priceless because this is Azai every day and I’m glad the world can see how special he is. He is a ball of love."
